Bethesda developer crafts Portal map
Download it now
Bethesda level designer Daryl Brigner is so enthused by Valve's Orange Box, specifically Portal, that he's created a new level for the game, which you can download for free now.
The map is of course for the PC version of Portal and it is called Ren Test2. Apparently, the innovative new map features plenty of rotating platforms, and is very enjoyable, if rather taxing - according to online reports.
To play Brigner's creation all you need do is download the map and save it (unzipped) in the 'maps' folder of your 'portal' directory. You'll then be able to locate the map using the 'bonus maps' option in-game.
Brigner, meanwhile, is supposedly hard at work on Fallout 3 for various platforms - a game we'll be taking a closer look at in London tomorrow, coincidentally.
