Speedball 2 - Tournament, Frogster and Kylotonn's remake of the classic future-sports title, is set to debut on Steam from late November. The classic title will also launch in stores from the autumn, and it'll certainly be interesting to see how the game fairs in the present day, as it were.

Beyond a launch on Valve's content delivery platform (for the PC), we're told to expect Speedball 2 to make use of the firm's authentication technology as well. As well as this fully-fledged revisitation, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is now also out on the Xbox Live Arcade, but this title is in fact a port of the Amiga classic, rather than a proper remake.

We'll bring you more on Speedball 2 - Tournament as we get it.
