Sega and Nintendo's unique and ground-breaking cross-over title, in development in honour of next year's Olympic Games in Beijing, is expected to sell upwards of four million copies according to Sega. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is the first game in which the firm's respective mascots have teamed-up, with Sega director Masanao Maede predicting the huge target.

The game is out later this year, and while Maede didn't put a time scale on his sales premonition it still represents a huge tally. That said, both licensed characters have sold in the millions previously, giving this collaboration huge potential.

The new officially licensed Olympic title will be out on the DS and Wii this November, with Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto offering his assistance to make the title the best it can be.
