BioShock best 'hands down' - Bleszinski
Epic designer lavishes high praise
Epic design wizard Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of Gears of War, has described BioShock as his "hands down" game of the year, revealing his love of 2K's opus in his personal blog.
He described the refined first-person shooter's big twist as his "top moment in gaming history, bar none," and said the Fort Frolic section of the game was comparable with Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, The Shining.
Bleszinski believes the tape recordings strewn throughout the game's levels evolve the plot and further immersion in a subtle, compelling and non-intrusive way. This stance allows the the player to choose their level of involvement in Rapture's sorry tale, without "shoving it down the player's throat."
Game of the year it is then, and who are we to argue?
