Word reaches us today that Splinter Cell: Conviction has now slipped into 2008, having originally been due out this winter.

The slippage was revealed alongside record financial results for the publisher late yesterday, in which the game was announced as a 'fourth-quarter' release - sometime between January and March 2008. The PC and Xbox 360 versions of Conviction were due on shelves this November.

Another Tom Clancy-inspired game, the strategically voice-activated EndWar, should be out in the spring. Elsewhere, Haze, Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway and Assassin's 'please don't ruin it with too much sci-fi' Creed should all be with us by the end of the year.

More soon.
