Whilst this may be nothing more than idle gossip, a rumour that is currently proving quite convincing concerns speculation that Microsoft will, or already has agreed terms to purchase Canadian developer Bioware.

Some rumours even suggest such an agreement was already on the table from last December, but has been delayed whilst the details are thrashed out.

This could all be rubbish of course, though Bioware and Redmond have grown closer of late, with Knights of the Old Republic scheduled to hit the Xbox before any other platform, and a mysterious unannounced project for Xbox still under-development at Bioware.

More on this, be it fact or fiction, as we get it.

    Why would Bioware need to sell themselves - surely they must be rolling in it?
