Castlevania: Symphony of the Night reaches PSN
Download it now for PS3 and PSP
A brand new PlayStation Network title, playable on both the PS3 and PSP post-download from the PlayStation Store, is now available in the shape of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Konami's classic has already gone down a treat on the Xbox Live Arcade, and is regarded as something of a landmark title for the platform genre.
The new download is available in Store this week, but will cost a little more than most offerings (which cost 5.99 USD usually), instead setting downloaders back a slightly heftier 9.99 USD. While it's more pricey than most PSN offerings, then, Symphony of the Night on PSP and PS3 comes in at about the same price as the Arcade version, which costs 800 Microsoft points, or 10 USD.
Symphony of the Night isn't the only new addition to Sony's online service, post-E3 week delivering new footage for titles such as Gran Turismo 5, R&C: Tools of Destruction, Heavenly Sword and Infamous.
More. Much More. Soon.

In a Top 20 it beat out classics that included Metroid and various Mario titles. To beat the Mario brothers at their own "game" is quite a feat!
Symphony of the Night was named best scroller of all time by http://www.gameobserver.com and with good reason. The game is loaded with extras. It has countless enemies (each one dies in a different way), countless rooms to explore, two giant castles, bosses, spells, familiars, skill you can find, a plethora of items and armor, many of which have different effects, and an RPG element. The game is simply HUGE. Countless hours of top-notch gameplay to boot. Great game!
