Majesco lift lid on Blast Works
New shooter-type game revealed for Wii
Majesco have lifted the lid on a new game for the Wii console today, detailing Blast Works which is due out in Q1 2008. The game's full title is Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy, and a side-scrolling shooter is the order of the day. The twist? You'll be able to 'ingest' bits of your vanquished rivals to make your own craft all the more powerful. A level editor will be bundled.

You'll also have a base to defend, using the Wiimote to control an anti-aircraft turret, from where you'll be able to access another array of things for your ship. You'll also be able to change your ship's configuration and such like. A two-player co-op mode will be included in Blast Works, with Majesco promising 15 levels of fun on land, sea and in the air.
"Gamers can literally build their own shooter experience via Blast Works' easy-to-use, multiple in-game editors,"explains John Merchant, Majesco Europe's marketing manager. "This exceptional customisation combined with the unique 'stickiness' of enemy debris and bright geometric graphics delivers a standout game that never plays the same way twice."
Talk of 'stickiness' sounds a bit Katamari Damacy, leaving us ever so slightly confused about how this game will actually play in the end. Budcat Creations are developing, they made Medal of Honor Vanguard for the Wii, in case you were wondering.
