Star Wars Battlefront goes PSP exclusive
New title from Rebellion
The latest Star Wars Battlefront title being developed by Rebellion and published by Activision is likely to be a PSP exclusive, released in time for Christmas, according to the latest word from the publisher.
Titled Renegade Squadron, UK studio Rebellion's latest foray into the Star Wars universe will include 11 singleplayer missions, a 16 player online mode, or an 8 player ad-hoc mode. The game's premise will see you following the progress of Han Solo as he traverses the galaxy building a team of rogues. During the singleplayer story you'll take in famous locations from the films, and meet a few familiar faces along the way - using craft such as Vader's TIE fighter or the Millennium Falcon.
You'll be able to customise your experience via a points system, dishing out up to 100 'points' across abilities like health, agility, speed, weaponry and items. You'll also have control over your character's species, appearance, uniform, et al. Various leaderboards and online stats will track your unique avatar's performance in multiplayer fun.
More as we get it.
